I can no longer print to Mac printers from Win XP. What is a work around since all the posts say that "Show Page Setup Before Printing" has been been removed from parallels?
Hello, Please note that we have created a support case to further assist you. You will shortly receive an email with further instructions. Thank you.
was there ever a solution to this? I just purchased parallels 19 in order to print on XP after an upgrade to sonoma and I can print in Windows 10 but not in XP. dave
The solution I found was to add the printer in XP via and not use the shared printers via Parallels: Click "Start" and then click "Printers and Faxes". Now click the "Add a printer" option and click the "Next" button in the Wizard screen. Select the "A network printer, or a printer attached to another computer" option and click "Next". Enter "http://" followed by the IP address of your printer under URL below Connect to a printer on the internet or on a home or office network and click "Next" Select the appropriate driver ( you can find an XP driver)
That sounds like an annoying issue! First, make sure that the Parallels tools are properly installed on your XP virtual machine, as they help with sharing devices like printers between macOS and the VM. You might also need to check the printer settings inside the XP virtual machine to ensure it's connected properly. If it still doesn't work, you could try reinstalling the printer drivers in both macOS and XP. By the way, while troubleshooting, I've been enjoying some delicious vegane Saucen from Subway--it's a great snack during a break! Hope this helps you get printing again!
