Coherence mode cannot started in Version 6 The coherence mode in version 6 cannot started on my new iMAC. Not sure if anyone met same issue in v6 or v5? If anyone know possible solutions. Please help. Thanks! BR, Vincent
I have the same problem. When I start Parallels 6 and try to switch to Coherence, I get a message to contact the customer support. I tried it but the support is the worst support I have ever seen. So if anybody has an idea how to repair it, please post it. Thanks for your help. Philipp I use it on an iMac27. On my MBP it is working. Same configuration on both machines.

Problem solved Hey, I solved my problem. The Coherence Mode is working again. The Problem was a Programm called Maxi Vista. It is used for the ipad. With that program you can use your iPad as a second monitor via Wifi. When I deactivate the driver in the System it works. ;-) I hope I could help you! Philipp
Ditto for "Air Display" I had a similar problem to what was described but in my case the conflict was with the Avatron's "Air Display" app (to allow using iPhone or iPad as a secondary display). The earlier version had not been a problem, but I had just installed version 1.2 this morning before finding the problem in coherence mode. As soon as I uninstalled Air Display (using their uninstaller program) including the required re-boot, Coherence mode was back and working fine. Hopefully this conflict can be resolved in future releases as I like both Parallels and Air Display.
Coherence not working I have a different but similar issue with coherence. It was working properly prior to today. However, when I started XP today it refuses to stay in coherence. Anytime I try to open a Windows program, click the task bar, etc., it pops into windowed mode automatically. Help?
Had some problem; got it fixed My coherence mode worked perfectly until this morning. I worked on the problem all morning, trying to figure out what was going on. Found that you all had a similar problem, but couldn't follow any of the ideas presented here to fix it. An additional problem I had was that I could not log into Windows to even try some of the solutions. Eventually I clicked on the "Device" item of the Parallels menu bar, chose "Keyboard", clicked on "alt+control+delete, and restarted the virtual machine. Voila! It works again. Not sure exactly what I did that did the trick, but thankful to have my machine back!

Hmm first coherence worked ok. I had to reinstall another program so I reinstalled Parallels. To my surprise the coherence was gray!! What did I do? I tried 'alt+control+delete' (advice from this forum). No.. it did not work. I then checked and somewhere (I am sorry, but I just clicked away, he-he) At some point I clicked 'control+command+enter' since this should toggle the coherence. Did not work. Then i reinstalled Parallels Tools... and guess what! Coherence is back in. good luck Periscope
same thing here. Re-installing the Parallels tools would help but 1 day later, the problem would be back. So I reinstall the tools, it works again, next day it's broken again. There have been no changes in my setup other than that I activated the TimeMachine backup recently. Is it possible that these effects coincide? Thanks, J
Jonah have you tried toggle the coherence? Ctrl+Cmd+Return. You find the shortcuts in the preferences under Keyboard & Mouse. regards

FWIW: completely uninstalling, rebooting, re-installing Parallels helped. Thanks for the support, support.
...and the problem is back. there were no operational changes to the VM (win7 ultimate/x64) other than the (automated) snapshot taking and deleting. re-installing tools helped once more. the log file message is the same as above. is anyone from parallels monitoring this? I think that the need to re-install the tools every so often constitutes a bug that ought to be fixed.
thanks for confirming the issue. I'm still hoping that someone from Parallels would chime in and provide some help for this annoying issue.
