check the size of Windows pvm.

    Finder - document - Parallels

Try repair disk permission and restarted Mac.

Spotlight - Disk Utilities - Mac HD - Repair Disk Permission

    tried that....

The windows pvm is 1.6 mb. I repaired disk permissions as you mentioned & rebooted. I even verified the disk with Disk Utility & rebooted. The error messages I'm getting now are, "Unable to load the Parallels driver. Restart your Mac & try again." followed immediately by another error message which said, "Unable to start the virtual machine. An unexpected error occurred while starting the virtual machine. Contact the Parallels support team for assistance." Restarting my Mac didn't help.

Right now I can't even install Windows from the disk. I keep getting the same 2 error messages that I just told you about.

the size should at least be 6-7 GB for Windows 7 and 1 to 1.5GB for Windows XP.
