check the size of Windows pvm. Finder - document - Parallels Try repair disk permission and restarted Mac. Spotlight - Disk Utilities - Mac HD - Repair Disk Permission
tried that.... The windows pvm is 1.6 mb. I repaired disk permissions as you mentioned & rebooted. I even verified the disk with Disk Utility & rebooted. The error messages I'm getting now are, "Unable to load the Parallels driver. Restart your Mac & try again." followed immediately by another error message which said, "Unable to start the virtual machine. An unexpected error occurred while starting the virtual machine. Contact the Parallels support team for assistance." Restarting my Mac didn't help.
the size of the 1.6 MB windows pvm is not valid to run windows . if you had time machine try to restore if not reinstall windows
can't do anything... Right now I can't even install Windows from the disk. I keep getting the same 2 error messages that I just told you about.

having the same problem, i can install windows 10 fine, but need windows 7, wont install, just says "no boot device". no response yet from support.
