Parallels 17 updates

In case you didn't see, the news is here. Some early observations:

- Ubuntu now has sound, which was the one real downside of the Linux ARM setup at this point
- FreeBSD now boots with multiple cores, which it wasn't previously able to do.

Looks like they made a lot of good fixes to the system this time around.
 
Already installed and running. It's necessary to add TPM manually if you have an existing VM. You may check TPM presence in Windows by running "tpm.msc"

just installed Parallels 17 on a MacBookPro15 i7...
I have 2 virtual machines:
. Windows10Pro , it works perfectly
. Windows XP to run two very old softwares.... FREEZE on windows xp starting! :(((
So it seems there is a problem between Parallels17 and WindowsXP
I've tried on 2 computers (Macbook pro and Mac mini) it's same.
Bad news fo rme.

Just tried the new Parallels 17 and enabled the TPM chip on this M1 MacBook with an existing Win 11 Insider VM. The question is that even after this attempt, there's a still a message showing that "Your PC doesn't meet the minimum hardware requirements for Windows 11." Checked tpm.msc and it seems that TPM 2.0 is enabled. Looks very disappointing.

Hello! Sure, it's 375984893. Currently I switched to the dev insider ring by modifying the registry, but I'm curious why it says it doesn't meet the minimum requirements. I ran the "WhyNotWin11" app and the only thing that it showed incompatible is DirectX 12. Maybe it's that? Are there any plans for DirectX 12 support for M1? Thank you!
 
One feature request that would be nice to see as someone who messes with SBCs and a Pinebook Pro: It'd be nice to see Parallels natively support boot images intended for Raspberry Pi or Rock64 SBCs, which are generally distributed as images burned to microSD and eMMC. The issue with those should be less ARM support and more just supporting the boot structure they use.

As many ARM builds are not in ISO form it would open up a lot of options for end users and give those developing for those target platforms a virtual platform to test on.
 
Same problem here. Even after manually adding the virtual TPM 2.0 device Windows says the system does not meet minimum requirements for Windows 11

Thanks a lot for your reply and provided information. We've already involved Parallels Engineering Team in this case.
Once we get any updates we will let you know immediately.
