Quick question, I just got a new 2017 MBP 15" TB at work and there are some programs I use that only run on Windows, Is anyone using Parallels on their 2017 or 2016 MBP's. I just want to know how it runs, is it fast and reliable or should I just use Bootcamp assistant?

    Thanks for your help.

  2. Hey, you can get more info about Parallels Desktop and Bootcamp here
And also can check this article for more info.
You can also try Parallels Desktop for 14 days and decide.

I would read through this thread here to get an idea of the performance issues with Parallels: https://forum.parallels.com/threads/performance-problems-in-windows-10-after-upgrade-to-v14.345305/

Parallels is obviously better, when it works, but I am strongly considering switching to Boot Camp (which I have never tried). Even after the latest update (14.1.3), I am having performance issues which makes using the Windows VM frustrating due to slowness. Prior to the 14.1.3 update, the Windows VM was completely unusable. Now it is just pretty slow.

NOTE: I am not using a MBP as you are; I am using a 2017 iMac with a 3,4 GHz processor and 8 GB RAM.
