Switch Resolution not working on macOS Catalina

Running macOS Catalina 10.15.1, and PD 3.6.1. When I select Switch Resolution, it highlights it in light grey as though it had opened the menubar item but it does not ever open. I can right click and ask to put it in the menubar and it pretends to do it (right click now shows "remove from menubar").

I REALLY depend on this tool for my job - need to switch resolution to work on a video screencast!

Ok, this is very weird. Switched accounts to a clean account and it worked. Switched back and it was still broken. Logged out, back in, now it's working! So that's good ... I guess!

glad to hear that the issue has vanished. Anyway, did any other menu bar items behave similar to the icon of 'Switch Resolution' tool?
