Tools Installation Problem: Error 1402

It's great to see this info, it gives me hope.

I'm running XP and did an upgrade to Parallels 6, 11828. I cannot get access to Windows.
I click on the Icon and Windows opens, but have no access to Start or start menu and none of the menu's will open control panel.

Going into the files and finding the control panel file, I double clicked it and it will open the windows and control panel icons on the dock, but still no access.

I've opened a ticket and they advised downloading and installing the latest update '9' , done that and tried to update tools, this will not work and the parallels is not downloading it either. Still no access.

Needless to say, Coherence mode is also unavailable.

One thing, while working in mac, there is something going on in the background as mac is sluggish and staggered, as though there is a conflict in the software.

Anyone who can advise me on how to get round this and get access would be most welcome.
