Please read my posts before you reply to them, ok? Explaining what I already know is pointless, and I've said over and over again that I'm fine with the pre-order. My original suggestion was to the Parallels staff, a wish, desire, whatever... Having everyone sell me as a bad customer for being eager to play with the new release it getting old and pissing me off.

I've only read what I've read in this thread and what you wrote gives me the impression that you are not patient and expect entitlements. Whether or not you meant it to be taken that way is another matter entirely. I'm not really arguing with you more than expressing my observations/opinions however it would seem that similar impressions were also made by you to those other than myself.

Like I said before, I hope you like 3.0 and don't feel taken. Personally I would love to get my hands on a RC build myself just like I'd love to get my hands on a beta of 10.5. Fat chance to either one!

I am impatient - clearly, but I've never expected entitlements. Those words were put in my mouth. "It would be nice" does not translate into "give me now."

I'm sorry I snapped at you. I've gotten very frustrated at having to explain what I've said over and over again to people who are reading way too much into my comments. There are plenty of people angry at the privatization of the entire beta process, and I'm not one of them. I think it's a great way to focus the people who really want to provide actual feedback. I'm also not at all upset that I pre-ordered. I'm fairly certain I'll be happy with it.

It would be nice if, similar to Apple, Parallels made available a current build for 3.0 purchasers to play with until the final is released, but I understand now that it's literally right around the corner and so not even worth humoring the idea at this point in the game.

I think it will be a Monday release, right after the Apple keynote. So we'll see if it happens.

I don't understand what you guys are arguing about? John (the Geek) just wants to ask Parallels if he can get the latest 3.0 build. He is a paying customer and he has the right to ask anything he wants. Parallels can say no but I haven't seen any response from them yet. So why do you (dkp and rkadowns) try to tell him it is the wrong thing to do? You two don't work for Parallels, do you?

It's not a big deal (but I'm glad to hear I'm not crazy and that someone else actually got what I said!)

The official release will be in "less than a week" according to the email they sent out this morning so any attempts to set up something at this point would be counter-productive. Apparently it's very close and on it's way to final release now. Now we just place bets on the actual date and see what happens.

Aero "coming soon" means just that... its not in the initial 3.0 release, but in a subsequent (free) update.
