USB Devices (eg USB Jabra Headsets) not working under W10 on M1 ARM

I have installed Windows 10 and Windows 11 (ARM) on iMac 24" M1 with Parallels Desktop v16.5... So far so good... But all our USB Headsets will not working... The devices show up in the device manager, but it is not usable for eg. VoIP applications... Also the sound tests will not work... Sometimes the first tones will come, then it only silence... As well as Windows 10 and Windows 11 the same behaviour...
Anybody else? I think this is a Parallels issue... Same procedure on a Intel iMac works like a charm...

i have the same issue running windows10arm or windows11 arm on a macbook pro 13" with parallels 17.

Using different Plantronics (Poly) USB Headsets. Sometimes the Mic works but not the speaker.

Using the macbooks internal devices is fine, so it looks like a parallels USB problem to me.
 
I have similarly not been successful getting certain USB audio devices to connect directly to Windows in the VM. Instead, I select them in the Parallels Devices > Sound Output and Devices > Microphone menus and that works with respect to routing sound correctly but doesn't allow use of any additional device features from within the VM.
 
I too have the same issue. MBP 13" M1, Windows 11 ARM. VM sees the device. Can select the device in any app (e.g., Teams), but it does not provide output sound or input (microphone). Hope this gets fixed soon.
 
What you're seeing with USB headsets appearing in Windows but not working properly on an M1 Mac running Windows 10/11 ARM under Parallels is a known limitation of the ARM‑based environment. The VM can detect USB hardware, but many USB audio devices need drivers that are built for x86/x64 hardware, and those drivers won't load on Windows ARM -- so even if the headset shows up in Device Manager, audio may not actually work in apps or system sound.
Here are some practical points that come out of these discussions:
  • Parallels does let you pass USB hardware through to the Windows VM (via Devices > USB & Bluetooth), but seeing the device listed doesn't guarantee full functionality if the drivers aren't compatible with ARM64.
  • Multiple users report that audio and mic may not work at all even though the device is detected by Windows.
  • Workarounds that work on Intel Macs often fail on M1 because Windows ARM can't use x86/x64 USB drivers that many audio devices depend on. What you can try:
    • In Parallels Desktop, connect the USB headset directly to the Windows VM via the menu (Devices > USB & Bluetooth > select the headset)
  • Make sure you've installed the latest ARM‑compatible drivers the manufacturer provides (if available). Some audio devices only provide x86/x64 drivers, which simply won't work under Windows ARM.
  • If the headset has Bluetooth support, pairing it as a Bluetooth audio device tends to work more reliably than USB in an ARM VM.
Unfortunately, until more ARM‑native drivers are supplied by device manufacturers or better USB driver support is available for Windows ARM in Parallels, full USB audio support for many headsets may not be possible right now on M1 chips. Many users are reporting the same issue across different USB audio device
