Hi, Every time I start the parallels version 13 application it prompts me for an administrator name and password to "begin the installation", however it is already installed. Then after providing the info a popup comes up saying "removing the previous version..." then parallels starts. Has anyone else had this problem? I have contacted support and there response is "upgrade to version 14" !! What the heck? I've only just paid for version 13 two months ago! Seems like a simple fix however support doesn't want anything to do with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. OS = 10.13.6, parallels version 13. thanks.
Hi @Kelvin5, we apologize for the inconvenience this brings. We are here to help! Can you please try starting Parallels Desktop 13 again and generate a Technical data while it's showing "removing previous versions" by entering this command in the Terminal window "prlsrvctl problem-report --send"
Hello MikeD12, This is mainly caused as the Users folder isn't located on the primary Mac hard drive. The issue will be fixed in the upcoming Parallels Desktop updates. As a temporary workaround please downgrade to the previous update build of Parallels Desktop 13 from this link < https://download.parallels.com/desktop/v13/13.3.0-43321/ParallelsDesktop-13.3.0-43321.dmg >.
