Same for me. I'm thinking this might be a restriction from Apple? Maybe Apple knows a VM and prevented the sign in? I wish the Parallels team will answer these posts.

I found a note in the article announcing it, under "Known Issues" (i.e. things that are broken..)
    https://kb.parallels.com/125561

Search for "register with Apple ID"

Apple ID use in the Mac OS Monterey VM is broken. This needs to be fixed asap.

I think (and do not know) that it is due to the "Serial Number" of the VM.

Same here ...needs many many fixed (I personally would have not release this software in this bad state ...help from Parallels is appalling as always)

    Latest update

I'm not sure what to do, as my use case requires `xCode` and to install it, you need the store, that needs apple id :(

Apple intentionally crippled the ``.vmapple`` version of the Kernel, so no

So, do we think these will change or are we at a "no go"?

(Why do you even reply if you have tried nothing, what a waste of everyone's time)

No. XCode does not work. Cannot sign into an iCloud Account through XCode (yes even seperately, trying only through the app).
Also, (if you are trying to be smart), you can export the iCloud-User-Profile from a "normal" MacOS machine (not VM) which is logged into an iCloud-Account, BUT you cannot import this profile into XCode inside the VM. The same problem will occur

Same, cant login to sequoia. I have sequoia installed on an external drive, do you have the same? or is your VM on the internal ssd?

My Sequoia VM is on the internal SSD. Seems the host also needs to be MacOS 15 to support iCloud in a VM. Oh well...
