Hi, I recently restored my machine from Time Machine after some repairs and my Parallels Desktop 11 license is failing to re-activate with the error "You have reached the maximum number of activations available for your activation key".

Can you please unlock my license?
    Thanks!

We have made changes to the activation key. Please follow the instructions below:
    1. Quit Parallels Desktop, then try to activate after launching it again.
    2. If you are still unable to activate, Open Terminal on the Mac and execute this command: prlsrvctl activate-license-online

I've changed Mac but not uninstalled the old parallels - now getting this error. How do I reset my licence?

We can see that you have Parallels Desktop 11. Refer to this article for activating Parallels Desktop 11 on new Mac.

It's an older licence I want to activate on another Mac - Version 9.

You cannot use Parallels Desktop 9 on an another Mac as you have upgraded that license to Parallels Desktop 11 using an upgrade key.

Got my new MBP and 'exceeded' the amount of license activations. No access to the previous system to deinstall Parallels.

    Hi,

I'm having the same problem. Moved to a new machine, clean install, exceeded the amount of license activations. Logging out of Parallels on the old computer doesn't help nor does the terminal command prlsrvctl activate-license-online. Please set me free. Thanks a bunch!

    Best,
    Malte

Same issue here. Cloned my hard drive to a new Mac using Time Machine and now I've reached the maximum number of activations. Old Mac is reformatted, so I can't deactivate.
