It is a shame that such great OSes are rendered virtually useless due to the lack of driver support in Parallels. I cannot imagine it would be a monumental task to create BSD ports for the relevant parts of Parallels Tools (it's POSIX, after all), and plenty of people are waiting patiently!

Please, it would be appropriate to provide "Parallels Tools" also for FreeBSD, which now runs very well, in version 13.2, on Parallels (here in ARM version in my macBook pro M3 pro) and first provide a suitable BSD icon for configuration, to avoid using an anonymous "other" icon. thank you!

A simple way for Parallels to improve their *nix support is to provide the ability to configure a vm to use open-vm-tools (open software). This would reduce the problems in *nix systems due to poor or non-support of various *nix drivers such as video, network, and SSD/HD.

FreeBSD 13 snapshots and 14 snapshots now work correctly on Parallels on Apple Silicon (tested 3 November 2021). Please add a "FreeBSD" option. Right now I am installing with Other Linux and the generic Other does not allow one to add disks so you can't do an install.
