Hello @NigelC1, please update Parallels Desktop and check for the issue.Guys, I have just paid to upgrade to version 12.1.1 from 11. and it has stopped me being able to use chrome on windows 7 and has pretty much ruined graphics on even the Internet Explorer, plus it refuses to connect to google on windows 7. I have a MAC running Sierra latest update. (yes i have removed the windows Chrome and re-installed it and yes I have shut down the MAC and re-started it.)
What have Parallels changed that has mucked everything up. 11 worked fine but now there are a host of web connectivity issues, and anything web-based is like it is in treacle.
Thanks for sharing this information.I just recently read an article on this subject. Here http://macsecurity.net/view/124/![]()
Not sure if anyone is still reading this thread, but it's actually a setting in Chrome, not Parallels. At least, that's what fixed this same issue for me. In Chrome settings, expand the Advanced settings section and it's right at the bottom of the page: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
Hi @BenJ2 and @korntawats, thanks for suggesting these troubleshooting steps. @MarkY2, @DamonU, @daa... and @SamG1, please try those steps and see if they help. If not, kindly follow the steps that we suggested earlier, as quoted below, and revert:try this 4 Chrome+Parallel+wifi

Guys, could you please send us detailed step-by-step instructions in order to reproduce the issue on our site.
And also please generate the problem report using this KB, plz send report ID in your reply.
Cheers, worked for meSame problem here with a fresh install of macOS Sierra under Parallels Desktop 12 for Mac Pro Edition 12.2.1 (41615).
* Installed macOS Sierra 10.12.5
* Installed Parallels Tools
* Allowed Mac App store to perform updates
* Rebooted VM
* Signed into iCloud
* Downloaded Chrome in Safari
* Launched Chrome
There have been no other changes to this virtual machine.
Visiting the option to disable hardware acceleration does fix the issue, but it's difficult to find the option when the UI usually doesn't render.
Try pasting this into your URL bar: chrome://settings/?search=acceleration and clicking the "Use hardware acceleration when available" label. You may not see it, but there's a toggle switch on the right. After changing this setting, you must restart Chrome before it takes effect.
Found a fix to my problem of not being able to access the switch... run the following cmd line from the terminal (with Chrome not running)I'm having the same problems with Parallels 13 and latest Chrome (as of Jan2018)!!
That link displays the "acceleration" on my Chrome browser but I cant get it to do anything no matter where I click all over the place.

Hi, could you please provide us with the screenshot of the issue?This issue also exists in Parallels 14.1.0, where parts of chrome are invisible, such as typing a URL. Turning hardware acceleration off in chrome has mitigated the problem. This is not a fix.
Also will be great to get e Problem report from you. Please generate it with these steps and reply us back with the report number and please do not forget to create a report right after the problem reproduced.This issue also exists in Parallels 14.1.0, where parts of chrome are invisible, such as typing a URL.
