I am able to run Outlook 2003 and Access 2003 using datafiles located in shared folders without any problems. My Outlook 2003 'pst' file is in a shared folder and sending, receiving mail, etc so far work fine.manfredell said:For all those who say shared folders work, please test to place data files of an app there and then runn the app. (e.g. Thunderbird profiles, Access databases etc etc).
On my system I could browse the folders BUT data intense operations (apps accessing files continuously) failed!
It works PERFECTLY in 1862!!

mqandil said:manfredell is correct. I installed the new build and yes you can see your folders, but if you try to use a program that uses the data files located on these shared drives, the data is inaccessable. It doesn't work. In addition some of the files not locted directly in your root directly may not be accessable as well. Don't assume it is working because you can view the directory. Build 1862 was working great.
