silly me - here's a .zip version
compressed version of crash reporter parallels log
John, are you part of the Parallels support team?
If not - should I not be escalating this problem to them?
Path: /Applications/Parallels/Parallels Desktop.app/Contents/MacOS/Parallels
Parent: WindowServer
Version: 3.0 (3.0 Build 5160.0)
Build is old but it is from old data
try to reinstall Parallels Desktop as described in kb
If problem is still there create ticket in support and let me know id
the build from the 'crash report/ is old, but the build I installed after your #2 was 5584.
So Internet is not working in either 5608 (where I came in) or:
1. 5584 after re-installing as per http://kb.parallels.com/en/4790
2. after ifconfig -a from Mac OS
ipconfig /all from Windows
3. after sudo killall -HUP pvsnatd
I contacted support and have not had a ticket yet.
thanks for your help so far
Give me ticket id
no ticket yet :-(
aargghh I supplied a support request via webform, not email. Remedied this blink
still no ticket! I have now been without internet access via Parallels for 11 days...
Ae the support staff immersed in the server rollout?
I'm considering switching to VMWare :-(
23 days without a solution
I checked ticket, and I can see support team suggested you solution about network location
yes. I think the suggestion was that parallels was getting confused because I had several locations in my network prefs.
I find that hard to understand, as I assume that the only location that matters is the one I have selected.
Nevertheless, I deleted all locations except the basic one, rebooted both mac and parallels, and that didn't switch parallels' networking back on.
Please post in ticket profile and ifconfig -a again
How do I find my ticket profile?
You have reply from support, just reply to it
done that - why didn't you say?
What do I need to say?
You mean reply?
Support will reply as soon as possible
