John, are you part of the Parallels support team? If not - should I not be escalating this problem to them? peter
Command: Parallels Path: /Applications/Parallels/Parallels Desktop.app/Contents/MacOS/Parallels Parent: WindowServer [62] Version: 3.0 (3.0 Build 5160.0) Build is old but it is from old data try to reinstall Parallels Desktop as described in kb http://kb.parallels.com/en/4790 If problem is still there create ticket in support and let me know id
the build from the 'crash report/ is old, but the build I installed after your #2 was 5584. So Internet is not working in either 5608 (where I came in) or: 1. 5584 after re-installing as per http://kb.parallels.com/en/4790 2. after ifconfig -a from Mac OS ipconfig /all from Windows 3. after sudo killall -HUP pvsnatd I contacted support and have not had a ticket yet. thanks for your help so far peter
still no ticket! I have now been without internet access via Parallels for 11 days... Ae the support staff immersed in the server rollout? I'm considering switching to VMWare :-(
yes. I think the suggestion was that parallels was getting confused because I had several locations in my network prefs. I find that hard to understand, as I assume that the only location that matters is the one I have selected. Nevertheless, I deleted all locations except the basic one, rebooted both mac and parallels, and that didn't switch parallels' networking back on. peter
