the build from the 'crash report/ is old, but the build I installed after your #2 was 5584.
So Internet is not working in either 5608 (where I came in) or:

1. 5584 after re-installing as per http://kb.parallels.com/en/4790

2. after ifconfig -a from Mac OS
ipconfig /all from Windows

3. after sudo killall -HUP pvsnatd

I contacted support and have not had a ticket yet.

thanks for your help so far

still no ticket! I have now been without internet access via Parallels for 11 days...
Ae the support staff immersed in the server rollout?
I'm considering switching to VMWare :-(

yes. I think the suggestion was that parallels was getting confused because I had several locations in my network prefs.

I find that hard to understand, as I assume that the only location that matters is the one I have selected.

Nevertheless, I deleted all locations except the basic one, rebooted both mac and parallels, and that didn't switch parallels' networking back on.
