Note, it is not a fix of the problem. It is just a workaround: it should reset the camera and restore it to work without reboot. It will make camera work even if PD is started

Thanks Elric - the script worked for me when I ran it after starting Parallels. Thanks for providing.

It's just the first time need to reboot!

Eric, does this workaround work with other MacBooks and, in particular, my MID-2012 MBA? Thanks in advance!

Hi, we observed the behaviour only on Macbook Pro 10,1.
But you can try.. utility should help in many other cases.

Parallels released an update today which fixed a few issues (most notably for me PDF printing with a Windows VM) but has yet to fix this issue....is tehre any update on this?

    Thanks!

This fix didn't work for me. The screen still appears green when I start my webcam with parallels running, even after running the workaround script.
    My mac model is: MacBookPro10,2

I've done the fix 3 times now. Restarted computer twice. But still no luck for me. PD still disables my camera regardless of using the fix. :(

I did an upgrade from El Capitan to Sierra and I have these problems.
Someone did a fresh install of the Sierra? Always it has the same problems in this case?

The workaround suggested above only works when Parallels is shut down. It's simply a way to get your camera back without rebooting the Mac but does not solve the problem of using the camera when Parallels is running. When will the fix be ready? I use the camera daily for meetings over the web.
